Project Overview:
This three-year, three-stage project involved the complete redevelopment of an existing operational aged care facility with the construction of a new 2-storey building totaling 153 beds. Stage 1 required methodology creativity, staging and design considerations to ensure client operations were continually met.

Davies Electrical was contracted to Supply and Install all Electrical, Communications, CCTV and Security works including the following:

  • Temporary Power across the site
  • Staged Demolition of the existing facility and associated infrastructure
  • Temporary Power across the site back feeding to existing MSB
  • Site Main Switchboard including a power monitoring system
  • Multiple sub-mains and distribution boards throughout the installation
  • Provision of general and specialised lighting throughout the complex including car-park and public lighting
  • Power supplies to Mechanical, Fire, Hydraulic and specialized services
  • Monitored Exit and emergency evacuation lighting throughout the complex
  • Provision of a hearing augmentation system
  • Integrated voice and data including copper and optical fibre cabling
  • Electronic security / access control system
  • CCTV System / Intercom systems including interface to the DECT phone system
  • Provision of reticulated IP MATV system
  • Testing and Commissioning
  • As-built Manuals

Lighting Overview
Davies Electrical was involved with the Design and Installation of a complete C-Bus / DALI Lighting Control System throughout the entire complex including PE and Sensor Controls. The Exterior Lighting involved Civil Works (Trenching, Hole Boring and Footings), Conduit installation, Rag Cage Assembly and Light Pole 
Installation.
